JSON to CSV Converter
Convert JSON to CSV and CSV to JSON in your browser. Turn an array of JSON objects into spreadsheet-ready CSV, or parse CSV back into JSON.
Paste an array of objects. Nested objects stay as JSON inside one cell; missing keys become empty cells.
About the JSON to CSV Converter
Convert an array of JSON objects into CSV with columns collected from every row, including keys that first appear in later objects. Missing values become empty cells. Nested objects and arrays are kept as JSON text inside a cell, not flattened into separate columns. In the reverse direction, the first CSV row supplies the property names and every field becomes a string, preserving values such as 00123. Quoted commas, escaped quotes and multiline fields are supported. Invalid JSON, duplicate CSV headers and rows with the wrong number of fields produce an error rather than a partial conversion. Your input stays in this browser.

Frequently asked questions
Does this support nested JSON?
Nested objects and arrays become JSON text in a single CSV cell. They are not flattened into columns. For example, an address object stays in an address column rather than becoming address.city and address.zip columns.
What if one JSON row has different keys?
The converter collects columns from all rows in first-seen order. A missing property creates an empty cell, so keys that only occur in later rows are retained.
Will CSV values become numbers or booleans?
No. CSV to JSON keeps every field as a string. This preserves leading zeros in IDs and phone numbers. Converting JSON to CSV and back does not preserve the original JSON types or distinguish null from an empty cell.
Why is my CSV rejected?
Check for unclosed quotes, duplicate or blank header names, or data rows whose field count differs from the header. Values containing commas, line breaks or double quotes need CSV quoting; a double quote inside a quoted field is written twice.
Can I upload a JSON or CSV file?
Open the file in a text editor and paste its content into the input. You can download the converted result directly; this page does not send files to a server.
Using the results
Developers and power users need tools that are exact and private. The JSON to CSV Converter runs its logic locally in your browser, returns results instantly, and never transmits your input — handy when you are working with keys, hashes, or data you would rather not paste into a remote service.
