About the Remove Line Breaks
A PDF often copies a line break at the end of every printed line. Use Replace with Spaces to turn those short lines into readable prose, or Preserve Paragraphs to keep blank lines between paragraphs. Remove All joins characters directly: two lines containing ABC and 123 become ABC123. Normalize LF keeps each line separate while using LF line endings. Existing words and punctuation are not rewritten; review hyphenated words from PDF copies separately. Your pasted text is processed in this browser.

Frequently asked questions
How do I remove line breaks but keep paragraphs?
Choose Preserve Paragraphs. Single line breaks become spaces; a run of blank lines becomes one empty line between paragraphs. Paragraphs must already be separated by a blank line.
Will removing line breaks join words together?
Remove All deliberately adds no separator: hello followed by world on a new line becomes helloworld. Replace with Spaces, the default, produces hello world.
Can this remove line breaks from a PDF?
Copy selectable text from the PDF and paste it here. This tool cleans the pasted text; it does not read PDF files or recover text from scanned pages. Use Image to Text for a scan first.
What does Normalize LF do?
It retains line boundaries using LF, the newline used by Unix and modern macOS. Browser text fields also normalize CR and CRLF input. This mode does not export Windows CRLF line endings.
