Frequently asked questions
Is the shuffle truly random?
Yes. It uses the Fisher–Yates algorithm with your browser’s random generator, which gives every possible order an equal chance — the correct, unbiased way to shuffle.
How is this different from a random picker?
A random picker chooses one item; the list shuffler randomizes the order of the whole list while keeping every item, which is what you want for draw orders and running orders.
Are blank lines kept?
Non-empty lines are shuffled, including duplicate items. Blank or whitespace-only lines are skipped.
Is anything uploaded?
